POSITION SUMMARY The Operations Leader will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring that production processes run reliably and efficiently. This role involves the management of resources, staff, and production schedules to ensure that customer orders are met on time and within budget. CORE FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people improvements through Lean Manufacturing.
- Provide capacity planning analysis for the manufacturing site.
- Lead large cross-functional problem-solving activities.
- Provide manufacturing shop-floor presence to demonstrate support for manufacturing site.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Ensure efficient utilization of plant resources and minimize downtime. Recruit, train, and supervise plant staff, including production workers, engineers, and maintenance personnel.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Partner with Quality to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the manufacturing plant. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and control operational costs to meet budgetary constraints.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Continuously analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Prepare regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality, and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all plant activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience in operations required.
- 3+ years of manufacturing management experience required.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google, manufacturing EPR systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively write and communicate with all levels of the organizations.
- Ability to perform basic and complex analysis.
Travel
- Occasional travel may be required.

- Manager: Plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is subject to Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Visual Acuity

Working Conditions
- This position primarily operates in a professional office environment and remote work from home. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasional trips to manufacturing locations will create exposure to routine manufacturing environment.
