Here's what you'd do:
The Payroll Analyst will work as part of the Human Resources Team and be responsible for the functions of payroll, ensuring biweekly payroll runs accurately and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure bi-weekly payroll run is performed timely and accurately
  • Track bi-weekly changes and special circumstances to ensure employees' pay is processed correctly
  • Processes and distributes PTO-sell checks according to policy
  • Forward Garnishment and 403b Contribution deductions to appropriate payee
  • Conducts periodic/scheduled audits for all active-terms employees, salary changes, and promotions
  • Participates in payroll, retirement, finance, and HR audits as needed
  • Assist in year-end tax reconciliations, issue W-2s, process W-2s with tax agencies and 1099s if needed
  • Communicates with employees and managers regarding payroll policies and practices
  • Answer questions and provide training and support as needed to payroll and system issues
  • Pull and distribute bi-weekly and monthly reports as needed
  • Serve as a back-up to Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
  • Assist in Human Resources and Finance departments as needed

Hours: Full-time, M-F, flexible hours

Job Requirements
Here's what you'll need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with payroll functions in a healthcare setting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience professionally utilizing HR/payroll software
Here's what sets you apart from other candidates:
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Certified Payroll Professional
  • Experience with Paycor or Great Plains
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including but not limited to preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Thorough understanding of wage and hour laws, including payroll tax withholding, deductions, and garnishments
  • Experience with audits
