Position Purpose:

To provide supervision in accordance with the Statement of Work incorporated into the contracts between VersAbility and the U.S. Government. This position will assist the Contract Manager concerning the day to day operations of the contract, such as scheduling and establishing tasks to be completed during the workday.

Primary Duties:

* Assist Contract Manager with the supervision of employees under the contract

* Assist Contract Manager by ensuring the Statement of Work is met satisfactorily according to the government standards (set forth in the Statement of Work)

* Assigns work based on priorities and deadlines, selective consideration of the difficulty and capabilities of employees

* Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures set forth by the Company and the Government

* Monitor and evaluate employee performance

* Maintain a positive line of communication with Government representatives

* Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of employee records, including file management

* Responsible for keeping the Government Contracts Manager informed of any circumstances that could negatively affect VersAbility's relationship with the Government

* Responsible for participating in meetings and trainings, as directed by Contract Manager and/or Administration

* Responsible for communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with VersAbility and Government personnel

* Other duties as assigned

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required. Associate degree or higher preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years' experience working with people with disabilities preferred.

Supervisory experience 2 years min preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Drivers License Required

Security: Ability to pass a military background screen to obtain base access Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work with employees with disabilities in a supportive and managerial role.
  • Must be able to supervise multiple tasks and quickly respond to day to day contingencies - such as employee issues concerning work requirements and adherence to the posted work schedule.
  • Must be able to maintain effective communication with government personnel, including quality inspections, sanitation and safety practices, and following contract requirement.
  • Knowledge of procedures involved in performing duties of the contract assigned.
  • Knowledge of proper equipment operation
  • Knowledge of proper use and disposal of chemicals
  • Knowledge of contract requirements

* Ability to acquire and maintain a valid driver's license

Environmental:

May work in a highly productive environment under a variety of conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment, twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the course of the day.
