The Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group is seeking an Associate (ideally 6th to 8th Year range) to join their Latin America-focused team in New York. Paul Hastings has a premier, Chambers Band 1-ranked, cross-border project finance department with a sterling track record of leading some of the most prominent Latin American project finance mandates. The law firm possesses a highly skilled team regularly sought out by significant project sponsors, investors and syndicates of lenders to act as counsel on complex bank and securities financing. Paul Hastings employs its standout knowledge in the energy, oil & gas, data/telecom, metals & mining, industrial water and logistics & transport infrastructure to advise on transactions in major jurisdictions such as Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Brazil. The practice has a broad and in-depth focus on energy and infrastructure projects and ideal candidates will have extensive experience dealing with LatAm clients on the financing of transactions in several of the sectors noted above, as well as significant experience representing sponsors and lenders. A candidate should preferably be fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese. Candidate should have outstanding academics, be admitted to the New York State Bar and be in good standing. The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $390,000 and a maximum of $435,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
