Description The Shipping Supervisor position is responsible for all production, quality and cost. This position requires a hands-on ability to dive into the shipping and receiving operation, while operating in a safe environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, organize, direct and run daily shipping/receiving operations Plan operator assignments and manage the outbound control log Supervise the put-away of finished goods and raw materials Must be flexible to work in other departments and/or on projects as needed during off-peak seasons Take responsibility for planning, output, standard costs and quality Supervise a team of forklift operators Complete forklift train the trainer certification Support the shipping manager and act as a backup to the shipping manager Contribute to the inventory counting process Collect, monitor and analyze operational data to trigger corrective actions Manage daily production paperwork flow and completion, including agency temporary data Promote a trusting and positive working culture in the facility Commit to facility safety procedures Other duties as assigned.
