Position Overview

PDW is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Test Engineering to join our expanding Technical Programs Department. This department is responsible for the system development, integration, testing, and qualification of PDW products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the development, testing, and deployment of PDW products from initial concept through sustainment.

In this position, you will serve as the technical interface for system-level testing and Validation & Verification of PDW products. The Senior Manager of Test Engineering will drive the roadmap for system test programs, oversee execution of system-level tests, and conduct root cause analyses. Additionally, you will establish policies and procedures for the test department.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute the system-level Verification and Validation (V&V) roadmap for PDW products.
  • Establish and oversee test requirements from initial analysis through production deployment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the PDW system test team, fostering professional development and growth.
  • Define test strategies and methodologies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Direct the test engineering team in implementing the product test roadmap, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Manage all aspects of the system testing process to guarantee high product quality.


Requirements


  • 10+ years of test engineering experience, with an emphasis on system and component testing taking a system from low MRL level to production.
  • Experience in the planning and executing test for complex systems in the areas of aerospace, automotive or heavy equipment.
  • Direct experience with transitioning products out of R&D into full rate production (manufacturing) by collaborating with customers, (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Reliability, Operations, management/leadership)
  • Excellent root cause analysis experience for multiple and complex issues.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating project and system level risks.
  • Team leadership experience and high comfort level in holding team members accountable for performance and building a healthy team culture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
