As a member of the Sustaining Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated engineers who pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers.

This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base, FL

Essential Functions

  • Lead the team supporting requirements analysis, deficiency analysis, and proposal development efforts in support of Radar subsystems.
  • Identify system requirements consistent with Range architecture, coordinate with hardware, software, and other engineering disciplines to meet Customer requirements.
  • Work directly with Project Management to prioritize project tasks and milestones.
  • Collaborate with internal and Government stakeholders to assure system designs comply with requirements/best practices.
  • Design and develop integrated solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare contractual, programmatic, and required technical documentation to support engineering activities
  • Integrate functions between Range assets and coordinate across other Launch and Test Range Systems (LTRS) assets as needed.
  • Apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques and assist in the development, implementation and documentation of impact assessments, architecture change recommendations and CONOPS change recommendations.
  • Provide technical consultation and expertise on Radar systems modeling and simulation.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering team to provide solutions for Radar engineering projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience working in an engineering, Radar, or RF transmission related technical field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with Radar Open System Architecture (ROSA) and high-power RF transmitters preferred
  • Experience managing projects, to include providing inputs on complex project proposals within defined time constraints involving multi-discipline teams.
  • Experience working with design principles and applications.
  • Experience working on the Eastern Range (Patrick Space Force Base and/or Cape Canaveral Space Force Station) preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Passport required.
  • Ability to travel 10%-25%
