Job Type: Contract to Hire Duration: 12 months Job Description: We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract to hire basis. This role will focus heavily on automation and support a significant contract. The ideal candidate will have experience with automation tools and a strong background in IT infrastructure. Responsibilities: * Develop and modify IT infrastructure to meet business objectives. * Maintain and implement technical solutions, specifications, and documentation for various projects or daily support initiatives. * Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and system owners to produce requirements, analyze feasibility, and recommend design solutions. * Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge. * Perform routine preventative measures and maintain/monitor network security. Required Skills: * Proficiency in PowerShell and Ansible. * Knowledge of VMware, RedHat, and AWS is a bonus. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: * Experience with Python, Bash, Puppet, Salt, Chef, Terraform, Cloud Formation, RESTful APIs, CI/CD Pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, VMware. * Conceptual understanding of database technologies, including relational databases, document databases, and key/value stores. * Experience with Grafana. Education: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Information: * Candidates must be able to hold a public trust clearance. * This role supports automation within the compute engineering team and is crucial for meeting KPIs for the contract. Interview Process: * Two rounds: First is virtual with the hiring manager, and the second is a panel interview with three architects. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
