Basic Function
The IT Program Manager - Temp will manage the IT Portfolio of strategic, mandatory and technical debt related projects under one or more Programs. This position will use technological expertise to lead technical design and architecture discussions across cross-functional teams and to ensure high quality work is delivered in an efficient manner. This role will also be responsible for managing budgets, project reporting, and leading Steering Committee meetings and monthly Program Status Reviews. This IT Program Manager requires strong written and verbal communication skills in order to connect with leadership within the organization, and people management skills to build positive relationships.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way and work with business partners to ensure objectives are delivered as expected.

Lead stakeholder and Steering Committee meetings for projects within the IT program.

Coordinate a wide range of activities to ensure organizational goals are met and align with the strategy and vision of the ITS department.

Monitor and communicate project progress, track financials and report on budget (Actuals vs. Planned) for each project under the Program; report on risks that could cause greater than 5% overage to plan.

Plan across company project priorities within the IT program to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Be accountable for the success of the IT program, focusing on enabling processes through technology and facilitating the adoption of new or improved processes and procedures.

Create and promote a collaborative teamwork environment for project teams.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

PMP certification preferred.

Five (5) years of IT Project Management experience plus three (3) years of experience in technical program development and project oversight required.

Extensive depth and breadth of experience in multiple IT project aspects such as budgeting, planning, scoping, execution, communication and risk required.

Experience managing and implementing projects in a team-oriented, cross organizational environment required.

Experience with IT projects and working with IT teams in the financial industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Advanced functional, technical and people management skills

Ability to take a large, complex project and break it down into time boxed deliverables

Strong business and technology acumen with demonstrated knowledge of enterprise architectures

Excellent communication, decision making, and problem-solving skills; communication skills to include facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution

Ability to handle multiple projects under a program, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadline

Strong skills in negotiating program requirements, developing resource requirements and coordinating geographically dispersed 'virtual' teams

Proficient using MS Project, TEAMS, PowerPoint, Excel, ADO, JIRA, SharePoint and ServiceNow

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
