Department Summary

Financial Aid & Scholarships (FAS) is committed to helping students achieve their educational goals by providing financial guidance and assistance within the guidelines of regulatory requirements. Through educational endeavors and student outreach, FAS remains a vital contributor to UNT's enrollment success.

Position Overview

This position supports document management operations within the Financial Aid office, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires adaptability to ongoing changes and challenges. The Financial Aid Counselor will take ownership of specialized tasks and projects, utilizing and maintaining various application software systems to ensure smooth office operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree and two years' of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.

Job Duties:



  • Lead FAS Document Management team, overseeing data reporting and document processing in Perceptive Content.
  • Manage imaging processes, including batching, scanning, and linking documents in Perceptive Content and PeopleSoft.
  • Implement and troubleshoot new workflows to improve FAS processes, collaborating with Imaging Services for system updates.
  • Advise on Perceptive Content-related inquiries and route complex issues as needed.
  • Train work-study students and full-time staff on document management processes, including Perceptive Content tutorials.
  • Update EIS checklists for document intake to support FAS operations and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and serve as backup to the supervisor when assigned.

Monday through Friday, 8-5pm, with occasional nights/weekends.
