Overview THE OPPORTUNITY National Louis University's (NLU's) Undergraduate College (UGC) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Humanities (Philosophy), beginning July 1, 2025. This is a 10-month position that requires instructors to collaborate regularly with the support team. This position requires on-site teaching for daytime courses at the Chicago and Wheeling campus. We Are: The Undergraduate College at NLU consists of a team of dedicated educators working together to build an amazing instructional model that supports first-time freshmen and transfer students - the majority of first-generation college-goers - with a focus on the holistic student. We work fearlessly to educate and support students to persist on their path to college graduation and career and life success. Our education is student-focused, expects excellence, provides personalized support in a data-driven environment, and is undergirded by continuous improvement and innovation to guide our work. WHO YOU ARE You will: Provide Students with Exceptional Learning Experiences Your work has demonstrated your respect for education and the power that it holds to empower students to achieve their career and life goals. Each term, you will facilitate blended and online classes that utilize technology and data to drive instruction. You will work with a dedicated team of faculty, success coaches/advisors, career advisors, employer relations managers, and data analysts to determine how to personalize the learning experience for your students. In addition to teaching content, you will support students with meeting the goals that they have for themselves and celebrate the lived experiences they bring to the classroom. The ranges for each rank for the Undergraduate College are listed below: 2024 UGC 10-Month Faculty Salary Ranges Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
