The Smits Lab is hiring a full-time Research Program Coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail; show proficiency in managing multiple tasks and working both independently as well as with a team. This position is well-suited for individuals interested in pursuing graduate study in clinical psychology.

The position will be initially funded for one year, but subsequent years may be available.

Purpose

To manage the administrative responsibilities in funded studies and supervise research staff.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising research staff in data collection, study protocol adherence, and other day to day responsibilities
  • Maintaining and revising IRB protocols assisting with research compliance reports and procedures; preparing and maintaining FDA/OHRO regulatory filings and grant reports
  • Submitting and maintaining contract requests/renewals for consultants, vendors, partnerships, new staff, and volunteers
  • Management of purchase requests for study necessities (i.e., participant compensation, materials needed, refunds)
  • Interfacing with research and other investigative staff to maintain effective communication regarding participant scheduling, data management, and quality control
  • Conducting clinical interviews and assessments in both English and Spanish
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • 5 years prior research experience (including experience as a student).
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Prior administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior research experience in a psychology lab.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
Salary

$65,000
