Assesses the patient's need for placement of a vascular access device and determines the appropriate type of device to place, location to place the device, and safety of line placement. Acts as an expert in vascular access line placement to include peripheral lines, midline catheters, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters in the clinic setting. Under the direction of nursing leadership, assists with trouble shooting vascular access issues and provides expert guidance to team members with the management of these devices. PICC cert is required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience, some infusion experience preferred, MUST HAVE Mid-line and PICC placement experience, PICC Cert REQUIRED Will need BOTH MD and DC RN licensure, BLS, EPIC Hours: M-F 10-5pm Johns HopkinsHealth Systemand its affiliatesare an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
