The EMAT Energy Management Synthesis Engineer will lead activities related to vehicle testing for Fuel Economy/Range, drivability and test analysis with responsibilities including but not limited to:



  • Serve as the point person for vehicle program FE/Range testing data and subjective drivability relative to program targets.


  • Maintain test vehicle(s) by coordinating HW and SW updates through vehicle development process.


  • Coordinate and perform chassis dyno testing for FE/Range testing on your specific vehicle program.


  • Coordinate test data standard analysis by providing access to data for energy analysis and electrical load analysis team members. Communicate results from analysis to PPE customers.


  • Perform in-vehicle capability, performance and subjective drivability tests as required to support program objectives.


  • Align with propulsion system calibration team on drivability functional objectives and program status. Assist in recommending drivability countermeasures to stakeholder teams.


  • Support vehicle ride & drive events and development test-trips as required to assess vehicle performance across environmental conditions.


  • Perform other assignments as required.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree field
  • 3 or more years of experience in product/propulsion system development and testing
  • Experience with ETAS-INCA or similar data acquisition



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master of Science degree
  • Experience with Powertrain and Electrified Powertrain Systems
  • Experience with futuring and competitive benchmarking
  • Experience with in-vehicle testing and data analysis
  • Experience with AVL Drive, Matlab and MS-Excel
