The NVH Multi-body Dynamics CAE Engineer performs ADAMS vehicle level analysis to simulate road shake, impact harshness and powertrain & driveline NVH loadcases.

The Responsibilities include, but not limited to:




  • Building/modifying ADAMS (multi-body dynamics) models
  • Review engineering data (geometry, bushing rates, etc.)
  • Assembling different type of tire models
  • Adding ADAMS flex-bodies to capture higher frequency content
  • Run vehicle level ADAMS load cases for road, driveline & powertrain input to simulate NVH attributes
  • Post-processing data at customer interface and intermediate path response locations
  • Root causing and developing enablers to resolve violations of targets
  • Technical report writing and presentations

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Structural, Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering or related degree field
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of multi-body dynamics simulation for secondary ride
  • Good understanding of vehicle architecture, suspension types and powertrain subsystems
  • Understanding of ADAMS flex-bodies and flex-body generation process
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret real world and simulation data to ensure model fidelity
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Vibration Theory
  • Ability to communicate the results and understanding to an engineering audience
  • MSC ADAMS, NASTRAN, ANSA


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Structural/Mechanical/Civil or Aerospace Engineering
  • Excellent root cause and problem-solving skills in automotive NVH
  • Proficiency in automotive components and vehicle systems
  • Prior expertise in using CAE tools to identify and resolve vehicle/sub-system NVH issues
