Senior Financial Analyst - Government Segment
Location: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid - 2 Days in Office)
Industry: Accounting & Finance

Our client, a leading communications company with a strong government sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support their growing team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a large, publicly traded company with a significant presence in the industry. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Carlsbad, CA office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial processes, including revenue and cost forecasting, month-end close, data reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Develop financial models to support investment decisions and business strategy.
  • Analyze and control costs related to production, inventory, and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) to optimize financial forecasting.
  • Prepare reports and key performance analyses to support leadership decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in large companies.
  • Experience with project accounting, cost forecasting, and revenue forecasting.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, VBA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pick things up quickly and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
  • US Citizenship is required.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience in government contracting (CAS, FAR) is a plus.
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, Blackline, and Oracle.
