Seasonal Staff Scientist (Fisheries)
Apply now Job Summary This position runs from April through September, and will assist with field work, lab work, and data management in support of the Fisheries Department in the Patrick Center for Environmental Research at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. This position requires in-person work. Office days will be at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Office days are generally 8-4 PM. Field days include day trips and overnight trips. Field days may include extended hours and are generally 6:30-4:30 PM, with earlier starting times to accommodate tides. Current projects are focused in the Delaware River Basin, including boat electrofishing for migratory fish, sampling in wadeable streams and non-wadeable streams using seines and dip nets to assess endangered minnows. Additional Information This is a Part-Time temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
