Acting as first level of support for Hutchinson's computer and end user community, ensuring optimum efficiency and usage at all times. The IT Systems Engineer will maintain the integrity and quality of Hutchinson's workstations, servers, and networked equipment both onsite, in office, manufacturing floor and at remote locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).
  • Defines customers' needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
  • Assists in the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output.
  • Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Implements warranty and support activities.
  • Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT support staff.
  • Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency.
  • Oversees the development of customized software and hardware requirement.
  • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
  • Maintain IT assets and inventory and assist coworkers with related duties and projects as needed and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years' experience serving in a helpdesk/network support role.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting, written, verbal, and organization skills as well as a focus on customer service
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and take direction, a positive attitude, and good interpersonal and communication skills, detail-orientated, and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. Capable of handling multiple tasks and have the ability to establish priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with most or all of the following: VMWare\Hyper-V, Windows 7-10, Oracle Virtual Box, Windows Server 2008-2019, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP,MS Office Suite 2007-2016, Office 365, MS SQL 2008-2014, Sophos Endpoint, Backup Exec, Veeam, and Group Policy administration. Knowledge of Lotus Notes is a plus.
  • U.S Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under some of our programs/contracts.
