Job Overview

The Video Production Specialist works closely with the Post Production team, including in-house and freelance editors. This role maintains awareness of the status of all projects and helps manage and organize the video team's asset library for beauty and wellness brands. The Video Production Specialist continuously evaluates existing workflows and develops new processes to optimize efficiency and support growth. This role ensures up-to-date knowledge of all ongoing productions at all times.

What You Will Do



  • Collaborate with the Production Team to fully understand project assignments.
  • Recommend and implement workflow improvements to enhance production quality and efficiency.
  • Assess project resources and analyze whether they meet project demands.
  • Create and organize project folders on the shared server, ensuring editors have access to necessary assets, including music, voiceovers, storyboards, graphics, and logos.
  • Ensure all digital assets meet specifications and are ready for use.
  • Develop and manage a structured process for migrating, organizing, cataloging, and tagging video footage, including setting up appropriate access permissions.
  • Work closely with the team to establish a keyword bank for naming and tagging assets and set up the asset library accordingly.
  • Ingest, log, tag, organize, and archive digital content from multiple shoots and projects.
  • Partner with the Post Manager to maintain continuous uptime for production storage, archive, and asset management systems.
  • Recommend, implement, and document best practices for media management workflows.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to support future growth and advancements.
  • Assist editors by locating clips for various projects and performing basic video edits as needed.
  • Fulfill footage requests across all company departments.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.



Skills You Will Need

Technical Proficiency - Expertise in After Effects, Premiere, and Encoder for video editing and production support.

Digital Asset Management (DAM) - Strong knowledge of DAM platforms and related software.

TDAM Integrations - Familiarity with content management systems and project management tools.

Metadata Management - Ability to tag, categorize, and organize assets efficiently.

Video Production Standards - Understanding of industry best practices, workflows, and technical requirements.

Project Management - Strong organizational skills to manage assets, timelines, and deliverables.

Asset Organization - Experience in ingesting, logging, tagging, organizing, and archiving digital content.

Workflow Optimization - Proven ability to develop and improve media management workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.

Professional Relationship Building - Experience maintaining relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Clear Communication - Strong verbal and written skills to convey creative ideas and workflow solutions.

Problem-Solving - Quick decision-making and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Adaptability - Ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving production needs.

Process Improvement - Proactively identifies and implements workflow enhancements to increase efficiency.
