Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support to Materials Engineering and Laboratory Services (D342). This position requires strong verbal, written and organizational skills as well as the demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personnel within EB and outside of the company. The D342 PC Techaid will be responsible for technical and administrative functions for the department, including but not limited to:

    Place orders for Lab Supplies using Purchasing Card and Oracle
  • Maintaining inventory of chemistry and metallurgy lab supplies
  • Understanding chemical storage requirements of lab chemicals and consumables
  • Chemical and consumable ordering
  • Managing & maintaining the chemical inventory per EB Regulatory Compliance Office
  • Understanding SDSs and knowledge of the EB SDS Finder
  • Creating and tracking of PEWOs & navigating the PEWO system
  • Track all purchases on Purchasing Card
  • Obtaining and maintaining service agreements with equipment vendors
  • Maintain department records, including laboratory reports and technical documents
  • Word processing/EB Correspondence, including formatting
  • Initiate and track service for department copiers and telecommunications equipment
  • Coordinate facility moves

A focus of this position will be supporting the Chemistry, Metrology and Metallurgy Labs. Overtime may be required to support workload and schedule requirements, but is not expected to be routine.



Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of relevant technical or administrative experience
  • Working knowledge with MS Excel, Power Point, and Word

Preferred:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant administrative experience
  • Prior experience processing EB travel arrangements and expense report


Skills

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Robust written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to routinely multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge or experience with the following:
    • PEWO, Oracle, Procedure Gateway, CITIS, Lotus Notes, and Cornerstone
    • Microsoft Office Suite
