GENERAL FUNCTION

The Analyst - Payments will complete payment analytical functions to identify payment trends and monitor, triage and resolve daily payment issues. This role will also audit completed disbursements and ensure all payments are processed in a timely and satisfactory manner. The Analyst will collaborate with Claims Research, Call Center Supervisor and other cross-functional areas in the organization. This role will participate in the enhancement and oversight of the payment operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Execute and validate the integrity of payment data in the EyeMed payments system
  • Monitor and ensure proper controls are being met in the fulfillment of EyeMed payments.
  • Audit the integrity of payment data in the EyeMed payments system
  • Identify and communicate payments trends, issue status and issue resolution to Management.
  • Review, update, and approve reporting documentation to ensure appropriate controls and key compliance requirements are met.
  • Builds and fosters professional relationships with internal contacts to effectively communicate and expedite the resolution of payment issues.
  • Work cross-functionally to research and resolve all issues accurately and in a timely manner between the Payments Team, IT and other business partners. Ensure management and team members are kept informed
  • Identify and recommend systems/process improvements necessary to gain efficiency and effectiveness
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on end-to-end payment lifecycle, including reconciliation.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ year of experience in data, financial, or disbursements processing
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to identify trends
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast past environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 2+ years of process management
  • Experience in the medical insurance industry
  • Working knowledge of Facets, SAP, and Business Objects
