The School of Education (SOE) at the University of California Riverside (UCR) is committed to its mission to advance equitable educational systems and practices which are driven by core values of equity, evidence, excellence, community, critical thinking, and compassion. Located in the Inland empire, a racially and economically diverse region on Tribal lands, UCR is a land-grant public institution designated as a Hispanic serving, Minority Serving, and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution. Within this context, under the general supervision of the Academic Personnel and Human Resources Director, the Academic Personnel (AP) Analyst assists in the planning, development, and implementation of the academic functions for the School of Education (primary support) and School of Public Policy (backup support). This position works in direct collaboration with the Associate Deans and Search Chairs on the coordination of academic recruitments, including arranging interviews, serving on search committees as needed, coordination of campus visits, etc. The AP Analyst is independently responsible for academic appointment and reappointment files, academic review (merit and promotion) files for both senate and non-senate appointees, and appointment/reappointment letters for academic employees. This position supports the School's operations at both the control unit level as the Dean's Office Analyst and the academic department level as the Department Analyst. The AP Analyst interprets and applies policies and regulations involved in all Senate and Non-Senate academic personnel recruitment, appointment, and advancement. The incumbent must possess the ability to analyze and maintain fluency in the Academic Personnel Manual (APM), The CALL, The Non-Senate, Non-Represented CALL, Academic Hiring Toolkit, University Policy and Procedures Manual, various union contracts and various directives issued.

This position is eligible for hybrid work.

The full salary range for the Academic Personnel Analyst is $73,600 - $133,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $88,500 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
