About The Role

First Community Bank is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to work under the direction of FCB leadership. This position involves the maintenance and upkeep of bank facilities including new branch construction, remodels, improvements, relocations, and closures while working with vendors to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and the project is completed to budget.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with building maintenance needs
  • Coordinate vendors to be onsite for facilities requests from branches
  • Coordinate annual inspections with a licensed inspector
  • Prioritize facility requests
  • Assist supervisor as needed
  • Repair and maintenance of all Bank facilities as needed or required
  • Conduct preventative maintenance; Recommend maintenance needs, improvement
  • Interact with branch personnel on resolving facility needs
  • Perform maintenance duties including, but not limited to; plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical and landscaping work
  • Occasionally assemble/install structural bank equipment (i.e.. furniture, bulletin boards, TV's or other IT equipment)
  • Move and arrange desks, furniture and partitions as needed
  • As needed, assist the Security Officer and vendors with maintenance of security and branch/teller equipment
  • Maintain and manage an annual furniture, fixture, IT needs, and equipment upgrade plan to help with annual capital expense planning; Maintain an inventory of fixed assets.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Adhere to the FCB Bank Values and Purpose
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Professionally answer phones within a timely manner, greeting all customers, learning their names, discussing reasonable solutions by having a solid understanding of bank products and services, demonstrating leadership to resolve customer issues and provide relevant assistance while being courteous and respectful.
  • Represent FCB in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain highest integrity of sensitive information.
  • Attends and participates in weekly or bi-weekly One-on-Ones, as well as meetings and trainings as required. Promote behaviors to support and track Key Performance Indicators

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two or more years of maintenance or related experience, preferably in a large commercial building environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid Driver's License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Operational knowledge of power tools and general maintenance equipment
  • Excellent Communication Skills; both verbal and written, to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills, using considerable tact, diplomacy, and judgment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independent of daily supervision
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to respond to arising problems.
  • Ability to effectively work customers, vendors, and employees

First Community Bank of Utah will conduct a credit and background screening as a part of the pre-hire process.

SCHEDULE:

  • Part Time, appx. 25 hours a week - Monday through Friday, schedule to be discussed in interview

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate to loud noise levels, as well as outside in sometimes inclement weather, or potentially difficult or hazardous conditions while utilizing and adhering to proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Regular travel to branches, hardware/other stores will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and you must have the ability to drive with proper licensing

The employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms, as well as climbing by ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of about an hour per day, when necessary. Must be able to work adjusted hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this position include exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 lbs. frequently, and / or 25 lbs. constantly to move objects

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices.
