Role: Senior Accountant
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/annually

Location: Manhattan, New York (Hybrid - 3 days a week in office)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This critical role will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, with a focus on revenue recognition (ASC 606) and utilizing NetSuite. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative individual with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, revenue recognition calculations, and related journal entries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Utilize NetSuite for various accounting functions, including journal entries, reporting, and analysis.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date on current accounting pronouncements and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
  • Extensive experience with NetSuite is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
