This is an Annual Co-op begins in May of 2025 and will run year around Co-ops will report to Cleveland, Ohio Headquarters. Part time work schedule 20-28 hrs/wk during school year and over school breaks. The year-round Innovation Excellence Co-Op position will work collaboratively to support the Sherwin-Williams Global Innovation Excellence team with multiple tasks related to our global projects and initiatives that support changing the culture of innovation enterprise wide. This role will report to the Innovation Manager. Though previous innovation experience is not required, the individual needs to be a creative thinker that can also execute in a timely manner. It is critical that the candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, both in the written and spoken word.

Position Responsibilities:
- Provide project support, which may include but is not limited to the creation and maintenance of software pages and databases, SharePoint webparts and pages, PowerPoint presentations, process and procedure documentation, and training materials.
- Assist with the drafting, editing, and proofreading of professional communications including emails, user guides, FAQs, intranet site content, training resources, feature stories, videos, and presentation materials.
- Work with internal and external partners to obtain, modify and post trend reports for enterprise-wide viewing on the Innovation Resource Center SharePoint site.
- Manage various aspects of the Bright Ideas innovation platform, including but not limited to:
- The Celebrate award system for Bright Ideas which includes working with Human Resources and a 3rd party, so all idea contributors are compensated appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Overseeing the various Bright Ideas mailboxes and respond to questions and request in a timely manner.
- Helping to generate reports from the Bright Ideas software
- Interact with other internal departments, sales personnel, and external vendors to coordinate activities including National Sales Meetings and the Innovation Excellence Conference.
- Support the Innovation Manager at the Sales Meetings and Conferences, including:
- The development and execution of the Bright Ideas booth
- Pre and post event activities
Minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa status
- Must currently be enrolled in a Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Market Research, or Innovation related degree program and are actively working toward a bachelor's degree.
- Must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing at time of Co-Op
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to at least work one (1) year, part time (approx. 20-28 hours per week) during school year and over school breaks is preferred.
- Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, SharePoint, and/or Outlook)
