JOB SUMMARY |
The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for input of sales for orders and quotes. This role will support the day-to-day operations of the Company's various product lines, and regularly support marketing and sales efforts to maintain a high level of customer awareness. Capable of maintaining client business relationships with the goal of increasing product sales over time and develop a thorough understanding of client's needs. Insure a good understanding of and meeting Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc., Components sales objectives. |
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Support CSS team with Quoting, Order Processing and Fulfillment, Customer Service and support to warranty claims for the different customers/market segments we attend in an effective and efficient manner.
- Create and manage customer specific proposals for both standard and customized engagements
- Support the commercial team with focus in specified product line(s) and/or market segments to ensure efficiency in quote/order processing, appropriate pricing/margin structure, and that product line offering meets customer expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service, including technical support, as needed. Engage with customer in post-sales activity.
- Perform sales follow-up on previously submitted sales quotations and requests from customers for product information.
- Interface with other departments within Components, external customers, and GE Grid Solutions outside sales representatives regarding day-to-day sales issues.
- Follow up with production to confirm delivery schedule and acknowledge price and lead time to internal customer.
- Attend weekly meetings with sales and production.
- Work with Quality team to help resolve warranty issues while maintaining customer relationship.
- Assist accounts receivable with past due invoices.
- Support Customer Support Leader with key projects and commercial initiatives
- Support import/export processing as assigned.
- Coordinate successful delivery of customer facing training classes (i.e. catering, event planning, logistics etc.) as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES |
- Excellent oral and communication skills
- General office skills, including Word and Excel
- Previous experience using SAP. (Quotes and Sales Order)
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Work efficiently under pressure and help motivate employees to meet demands
- Leading and supporting successful projects
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
Required Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years sales or customer service experience in related industry (industrial, oil & gas, utilities, etc.)
- Technical and analytical aptitude
Preferred Education / Experience
- BS/BA in related discipline (engineering, business, marketing, etc.)
- 3-5 years sales or customer service experience in related industry (industrial, oil, gas, utilities, etc.)
- 5+ years of successful experience in power systems and/or substation experience and successful demonstration of Principle Duties and Responsibilities as presented above.
