Responsibilities

Keysight Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Intern ASIC R&D Test Development Engineer. You will be an integral part of the innovative, solutions-oriented research and development team, and be exposed to state-of-the-art Design for Test methodologies and tools for characterization, prototype, and production test development. As an Intern, you will apply your software or electrical coursework to assist in a migration to a new test executive software and demonstrate viability of the new software by performing ASIC characterization tests. This position is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently ranked as the most desirable place to live by U.S. News & World Report.

Responsibilities

  • Write C# test code to execute basic tests and communicate with instrumentation
  • Integrate new test executive software to natively execute test code
  • Write and implement SPI drivers to be used in the C# environment
  • Create a new user interface based on the current GUI and feedback from engineers
  • Perform ASIC characterization tests with new interface

Qualifications

  • Completion of your sophomore year or more at an accredited 4-year university, working towards Bachelor's or Master's Degree or University Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Software programming experience in C# or similar languages such as Java, Python, and C/C++
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness with interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in teams
  • Strong time management skills enabling on-time project delivery
  • Good organizational, planning, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be goal oriented and handle a multitasking environment
  • Skilled at forward thinking and future proofing

Desired Qualifications

  • Hardware and software integration and debug experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting languages such as Perl, Python, etc.
  • Experience with serial communication protocols such as SPI and I2C
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Subversion
  • Strong enthusiasm towards individual learning and projects outside of curriculum IE Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.

Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

$25-45 per hour
