Who we are looking for:

ASCO is seeking an Education Data Analysis Intern to analyze qualitative and quantitative data collected from educational meeting attendees. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in data organizations, analysis, and reporting, helping to shape the future of ASCO's educational initiatives.

Internship activities include:

  • Code and analyze feedback from the 2025 ASCO Annual Meeting to identify key themes and insights for future programming.

  • Research and test strategies to improve efficiency in coding and analyzing large qualitative data sets.

  • Analyze credit claim and meeting registration data to identify learner trends and behaviors.

  • Develop metrics to track participation and engagement, helping ASCO refine its educational offerings.

  • Create data narratives and visual reports to translate findings for diverse stakeholders.

Required qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate BA/BS degree program, or graduate program, or recently graduated from a 4-year degree program. Candidates must be at least a junior or entering their junior year of college at the start of the internship.

  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data analytics in the social sciences as well as has a baseline knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (365 preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with flexibility to adapt to changing needs

  • Solid organizational and time management skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism

  • Willingness to enhance skills

Duration:10weeksduring thesummer - June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025. This internship is37.5hours per week.

Compensation:Thissummerinternship position is paid at a rate of $20/hour for actual hours worked. Additionally, ASCO will provide parking or a metro subsidy.

Location:This internship is based in Alexandria, VA and will require working onsite the majority of the time with some offsite work flexibility. Candidates should reside in the D.C. metro area or be able to relocate at their own expense. If you are not able to work at ASCO Headquarters, please do not apply.
