Research Billing Coordinator

Position Highlights:

• Position: Research Billing Coordinator
• Hourly Pay Range: The range for this role is $27.74-$37.29/hour. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
• Location: Naperville, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time
• Hours: M-F 8-4:30 (flexible)
• Required Travel: Occasional travel to Plainfield, Elmhurst or Evanston may be needed.

What you will do:

• Work with research team to assign patient to research, associate all study visits with correct encounters, and monitor all research billing activity within EPIC. Invoice sponsors, as needed, for any study related visits
• Process study patient payments and external vendor payments to ensure proper and timely receipt of payment
• Track all expenses paid from department including, but not limited to, vendor payment, patient payment, shipping fees, supply fees, and staff education.
• Process journal transfers, on ad hoc basis, working with Research Institute and at the direction of Senior Manager, Clinical Research or Manager, Research Budgets.
• Assist Manager, Research budgets, as needed, on various projects

What you will need:

• Education: Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred- ideally with accounting background
• Certification: N/A, Certified Research Administrator, or research certification preferred
• Experience: 1-2 years in clinical research billing and accounting. Preferred experience in Oncology clinical research preferred.
