About the Applied Science Team

At Relativity, our Applied Science team is at the forefront of developing new products from prototype to production. We build innovative, purpose-driven technology for our customers, who use RelativityOne to analyze diverse document types, both structured and unstructured. The challenge of processing vast amounts of data in various formats offers a rich space for research and innovation. With the advancements in Generative AI, we have been leading the development of cutting-edge solutions in this field with our aiR suite of products: aiR for Review, aiR for Privilege and aiR for Case Strategy.

Job Description and Requirements

As an Applied Science Intern, you will:

  • Work on impactful projects that guide our investment strategies and shape our product roadmap.

  • Collaborate with a dedicated mentor to grow as a scientist, collaborative partner, and presenter to stakeholders across the company.

  • Potentially contribute to patenting new technologies.

  • Engage in a dynamic environment with no shortage of exciting and innovative opportunities.

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctorate level student

  • Fluent in Python

  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating in an interdisciplinary environment

  • Interest in the legal industry and global justice systems

Responsibilities

  • Work on a project with the support and mentorship of a host Applied Scientist

  • Collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary team

  • Work on purpose-driven projects

  • Contribute to solving the needs of the investigative and justice community

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$48,000 and $63,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
