Associate Digital Marketing Specialist
Long term Contract
Hybrid-Chicago North Side (not in the loop)- 3 days onsite (M, W, F)/2 days remote Our client, a medical equipment manufacturer, is seeking an Associate Digital Marketing Specialist. This is more of a junior role to assist a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist with the execution of email, social media, and website projects. NO STRATEGY involved. The digital work consists of Social Media (33%), Emails (33%), and Web (33%). The team typically launches 1-2 emails per week but begin working on those emails roughly 2-3 months prior to launch. Social Media will be 5-6 social media posts per week. Website projects include: New content uploads, launches, etc., assist with testing, and work with developers for edits and creative for design. They need to understand how all digital works together. Responsibilities:
- Create and implement email and social media strategy, best practices, and optimization.*
- Manage day to day email marketing operations including Email list management, Email creation in Pardot user interface, Email A/B testing, manage daily updates to emails
- Manage day to day social media marketing operations:
- Post scheduling through Sprout Social
- Track, measure and report results; use data to optimize and evolve our social marketing strategies.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, apps, and effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media techniques.
- Monitor engagements and respond to customer comments on all media platforms as appropriate. Know when to hide, block and respond.
- Manage Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter profiles
- Management of social media partners/influencers*
- Collaborate with Marketing Specialists to create visual content and creative copy that is consistent with company marketing and branding guidelines for all email and social media content.*
- Partner with Marketing Specialists to monitor, track, report and optimize all initiatives for both channels, and prove ROI.
- Collaborate with Marketing Specialists and product marketing to develop campaign materials and messaging.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
- Track record of success working with the business stakeholders to identify issues and demonstrate problem solving ability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing,
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing, communications or related business discipline
- Solid technical, business acumen and understanding to communicate with teams from various cross-functional areas.
- Strong communication, writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of social media for business use and technical familiarity with popular social media platforms and tools and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.).
- Familiar with web, email, social media tools (Pardot, Yes Mail, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Social Pilot, Listrak)
- Experience/Understanding A/B testing
- Keeps up with the ever-evolving technology landscape and brings fresh ideas to reach targeted audiences through existing and emerging channels
- Curiosity and passion about digital marketing, staying abreast of industry news, best practices and emerging trends and capabilities
- Self-directed and able to take on responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Multi-tasker with great time management skills
- High energy and professional business style.
- Excellent presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
- B2B experience preferred.
