What you do:
The Volunteer Services Manager oversees the recruitment, training, placement, and retention of volunteers to support the organization's mission and goals. This role ensures a positive volunteer experience and maximizes volunteers' contributions to the organization's programs and services.

Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding: Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse sources. Conduct interviews and screen potential volunteers to assess their skills and interests.

Organize orientation sessions to introduce new volunteers to the organization's mission, values, policies, and procedures.

Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to equip volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge. Provide ongoing development opportunities to enhance volunteer engagement and performance.

Volunteer Management: Schedule and coordinate volunteer activities, ensuring appropriate coverage for all programs and events. Supervise volunteers, offering support, guidance, and feedback to ensure a high standard of service.

Program Evaluation and Recognition: Develop and implement strategies to retain volunteers and recognize their contributions. Organize volunteer appreciation events and recognition programs.

Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure all volunteer activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

What you need:

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in volunteer management or a related role.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

* Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possibly a volunteer management software.

* Knowledge of best practices in volunteer management and development preferred.
