POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the ME/Maintenance Manager and as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering department this position is responsible for issuing purchase requisitions, reconciling invoices, setup and maintenance of pm system and oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures. * Create and supervise the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) System which includes: o the distribution and control of Maintenance Work Requests o schedule and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM's) internal and external items * Act as a back up to the Maintenance Supervisor if absent or unavailable * Manage the contracted janitorial crew * Order and maintain inventory of janitorial supplies, filters, and other items as required * Lead facility improvement projects and renovations as assigned including kaizen events * Support and promote special departmental projects - Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Lean Facilitation, Facilities, and Tool & Die teams * Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) projects at New Flyer, including planning, training, implementation, and audits * Initiate process improvements in support of the strategic plan * Communicate with suppliers, obtain quotes, schedule supplier visits, review supplier services, payments, and invoices, and resolve any supplier issues * Verify and match department billing documentation prior to submitting for payment authorization * Maintain departmental costs and budget information * Assist in preparing departmental budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls * Review and process purchase requisitions and assist with associated training, GL codes assignment, delivery status inquiries, pricing, supplier information and contacts, and other order related issues * Maintain control of department reports and documents which include creating Excel spreadsheets or data bases o Inspections and certifications records o Service reports and records o Equipment records o Time sheets and attendance records o Vacation schedules o Maintenance logs and check lists * Coordinate and process travel arrangements and expense reports * Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate, and implement new procedures * Support all Lean Manufacturing initiatives including completing 5S audits as assigned * Support all company safety initiatives * Support the documentation and compliance of all department ISO processes * Other duties as assigned * Professional team player with solid interpersonal/communications skills with the ability to analyze data and problem solve while functioning in a fast-paced environment. * Detail oriented and well organized. * Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MRP processes are required. * Working knowledge of Oracle and formal APICS training would be considered an asset.
