SUMMARY:

The Director - Client Strategies & Services role is a key member of the Accelerate Pharmacy Solutions (APS) team at Cencora and is responsible for business strategy development, customer account management and, enhancing client growth and market share. The Director - Client Strategies & Services consults with clients to develop strategies in an evolving healthcare market, taking into account the client's vision and goals. These strategic responsibilities will be under the direction of the National Vice President.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for selling professional services and solutions within assigned geography and market segments.

  • Collaborates and works closely with APS Solution Owners to support the strategy and ongoing development of solutions

  • Provides detailed assessments and develops strategic models that support the sale of APS Solutions portfolios

  • Interacts with APS Solution owners and project management teams engaging with client's stakeholders and leadership to ensure successful outcome of deliverables

  • Under the direction of National Vice President leads, or actively participates in proposal development with APS Solution owners and provides an active stakeholder role throughout engagement

  • Develops and implements strategic sales and marketing plans to accommodate company and individual-level business goals under the direction of the NationalVice President Reviews market trends to determine and anticipate client needs.

  • Gathers information, analyzes, and develops strategies concerning dynamics that may affect the business relationship, such as changes in client ownership or new affiliations; current market share and targets of opportunities for new growth; clients' changing requirements; competitor strengths and weaknesses; and continually communicates these strategies internally using verbal discussion and written proposals

  • Responsible for delivering sales presentations to key clients and C-suite stakeholders

  • Leads discussion with APS and HGS Field Sales Teams focused on developing new business with specified accounts or groups of accounts and works under the direction of National Vice President

  • Maintains strong client relationships; seeks new and increased business opportunities

  • Monitors and analyzes reports and data that are used consistently throughout HGS and APS for measuring profitability growth; develops and implements strategies to ensure continued success

  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet sales objectives; must be willing to travel extensively

  • Responsible for strategic coordination and leadership across APS and HGfor selling opportunities under the direction of the National Vice President

  • Assists National Vice President in strategic planning process

  • Performs related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as pharmacy, business administration, and sales.

  • Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) or more years of experience

  • Prior knowledge and/or experience with APS Solution - highly desired

  • Understands pharmacy trends and operating assumptions

  • Ability to sell to the C-suite of health systems

  • Ability to understand and articulate complex issues across business units.

  • Proven track record of leading large, integrated sales to large customers.

  • Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Excellent integration, implementation and management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time domestically

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
