Position in this function manage internal team of business analytics experts. This role is mission critical in turning audits into client cost savings and company revenue. This leader will balance multiple priorities based on the needs of the business and our 30+ clients. Our business is built on relationships and the successful candidate will have solid people skills to forge solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assessing and creating a solution for client requirements including, but not limited to, reporting, invoicing, updating client systems, tagging, adjustment, selections and approvals/gates in the process
  • Code programs and procedures to automate repeatable functions
  • Accountable for end-to-end data quality in audit process. Managed data throughout process to identify any issues before internal or client impact. Cleans data as needed to reflect duplicate or expired claims
  • Review data to identify trends and provide feedback to selections and mapping teams to improve algorithms and future results
  • Leverage SQL queries to investigate issues, assess productivity and performance and prioritize workload
  • Define the data needed to solve a problem or enable a decision, find, manipulate, and use that data to pinpoint the necessary actions
  • When existing data does not suffice, create it, gather it, or find a proxy for it
  • Collaborate with business partners to assess potential downstream and upstream impacts and to gather input and feedback from multiple areas of specialty
  • Set clear objectives, milestones, timelines, and accountabilities for project and project team members. Manage to this plan and adjust as needed. Communicate any changes, particularly those with staffing and/or financial impacts
  • Meet with clients on a project-specific basis to understand their concerns and goals and to communicate our work on their behalf
  • Represent Audit on potential client calls and collaborate with new client implementation team members for a seamless handoff
  • Effectively communicate with audit team to troubleshoot claims data for review
  • Use tools and organizational skills to stay current with changes in priorities

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience with DRG facility payment methodology
  • 3+ years of experience writing advanced SQL queries
  • 3+ years of experience financial modeling


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of outpatient facility payment methodologies including APC, OPG
  • External client-facing responsibilities

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
