Overview
The Imaging Scheduling Specialist I is responsible for screening, scheduling, and directing patients to appropriate locations and services within the Imaging Department. Qualifications Associate's Degree or Experience In Lieu of Education Medical Terminology course within 1 Year of hire. Office experience 1+ years. Must have the ability to project a professional, pleasant image, while interacting with a variety of personalities and cultures. Strong listening/communication skills and telephone etiquette essential. Observes high standard of confidentiality. Ability to deal with a large volume of calls and multiple tasks concurrently. Memory for details essential. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks under stressful conditions with frequent interruptions with minimal direction or supervision. Responsibilities Receives all incoming phone calls and facilitates the scheduling of imaging procedures. Provides patients with division specific patient education materials to ensure they are prepared for scheduled tests/procedures. Conducts financial discussion with patients and/or provider's office regarding fees for imaging procedures according to ABN and pre-authorization guidelines. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $18per hour - $29.13per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
