Responsibilities

Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy offers psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents ages 7-17, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. The Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, separate academic building, and four dormitories. Our wooded campus provides an excellent opportunity for outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, softball and basketball.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Director of Operations who is responsible to assist the CEO in the daily operations of the Educational and Residential programs. Overrall responsibility for managing, coordinating, supervising, and implementing programs and the delivery of services in an effective manner. The position works closely with the Clinical Department, to ensure that the hospital delivers a high level of residential and educational services that meets the patients' needs and is in compliance with all regulatory standards. The Director of Operations hires and supervises staff to ensure a productive team that operates with high morale. The position works cooperatively with other management team members to ensure that each patient has a positive therapeutic experience with the best possible outcome.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, nursing or related field.
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in working in mental health some of which is directly with children /adolescents in a residential setting.
  • A strong knowledge of JOINT COMMISSION, CMS standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
  • Current drivers license in good standing.
  • This position requires the use of Handle with Care at time of hire and recertifciation and BLS certification.
  • 21 years of age.
