Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Perform daily and monthly activities to assure a timely and accurate month end close

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Monthly Sales Tax filings
  • Review notifications from various taxing jurisdictions and action
  • Annual Personal Propert Tax filings
  • Other assignments as requested by Director of Accounting

Safety Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
    * Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 + years of general account experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years or more experience in Sales and Use Tax is preferred.
  • Intermediate or above Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational and documentation skills required
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX Finance or Microsoft D365 F&O (Finance & Operations).
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • No major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
