Position Overview:

The Vice President of Sales will lead IPS's sales strategy across the Power Management Division. This executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening brand positioning within the power distribution and electrical infrastructure sectors.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, this individual will develop and execute strategies that drive both customer acquisition and brand awareness. The VP will oversee:

  • Sales strategy and execution for IPS's Power Distribution Equipment core offerings:
    • Repair & remanufacturing of electrical switchgear, transformers, and distribution equipment.
    • New equipment solutions for power distribution.
    • IPS PowerServe, offering NETA-certified on-site services such as testing, commissioning, and decommissioning.
    • IPS PowerPro, offering non-NETA on-site services for customers not requiring NETA
  • This role requires a visionary leader with deep industry expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of scaling sales and marketing operations.
  • This role will partner with the IPS Marketing Team to ensure a strong PMD industry presence and customer engagement through effective brand management
  • This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President of PMD
  • The location of this position can be flexible throughout North America

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth across IPS's core markets working with PMD Business Development Managers and Cross-Selling with IPS's Electro-Mechanical division sales teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales teams across multiple geographical regions.
  • Drive business development initiatives, forging strong relationships with key industry players, utilities, OEMs, and end-users.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to align sales efforts with IPS's capabilities and market demands.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the executive team to align sales initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Partner with product management and service teams to ensure customer needs are met with innovative solutions.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring IPS continues to deliver exceptional service and long-term value to clients.
  • Partner with the IPS marketing team to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to enhance IPS's brand visibility, positioning, and customer engagement.
  • Oversee content marketing, digital campaigns, trade shows, and industry events to generate leads and support sales efforts.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing and sales initiatives for seamless customer journey and strong market penetration.
  • Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the power services industry.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in sales, preferably within electrical equipment, power distribution, or industrial services.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale a geographically distributed sales team.
  • Deep industry knowledge of switchgear, transformers, and power distribution equipment.
  • Experience in NETA-certified services or on-site commissioning/testing services is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing, brand strategy, and lead generation in an industrial setting preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support sales teams, key customers, and industry events across North America and Puerto Rico.

Salary Details: Base salary of $150,000 to $200,000 per year
