A Day in the Life:

As L'Oreal's
Augmented Beauty - Head of Product Design, you will play a vital role in
shaping the future of beauty through innovative technology. You will be an
integral part of the Augmented Beauty team, collaborating closely with
cross-functional partners in Marketing, R&I, Engineering, and Design. This
highly collaborative role offers a unique opportunity to work at the
intersection of beauty and technology, driving the development of cutting-edge
products from concept to market. This role offers unique learning and growth
opportunities to advance individual knowledge and subject matter expertise in
product design, consumer electronics, and the evolving landscape of beauty
technology, supporting a diverse portfolio of product innovations, including
connected beauty devices, augmented reality applications, and personalized
beauty experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Defining and articulating a compelling product vision and roadmap, aligned with L'Oreal's overall augmented beauty strategy.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conducting thorough market research, competitive analysis, and consumer needs assessments to identify opportunities and inform product development.
  • Product Requirements & Prioritization: Translating the product vision into detailed specifications and prioritizing features based on market needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
  • Product Development & Launch: Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.). This includes managing user testing and ensuring consumer value is maintained throughout the process. Developing companion items (user guides, warranty information, etc.) to enhance the user experience.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution: Developing and implementing comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including marketing campaigns, sales strategies, and launch events. Managing digital and data infrastructure for performance tracking.
  • Post-Launch Management & Optimization: Monitoring product performance, gathering customer feedback, iterating on the product based on data and insights, and managing the entire product lifecycle.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Working effectively with cross-functional teams and communicating product vision and strategy to stakeholders. Staying abreast of emerging trends in beauty technology and consumer electronics.

We Are Looking For: A highly motivated and innovative product leader with a passion for beauty technology and a proven track record of bringing successful consumer electronics products to market. This individual should be a strategic thinker, a collaborative team player, and a consumer-centric champion, with a deep understanding of the beauty industry and the ever-evolving landscape of technology. In addition:

  • A completed Master's degree or above in Product / Technology Management, Electrical and Computer Science, Management or other relevant fields required
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in successfully launching consumer electronics products to consumer is required
  • Proven experience as Program Director or other managerial position
  • Hands-on, turning complex problem into actionable solutions, showing initiative spirit and curiosity are key strengths we are looking for this position.
  • Synthetic and effective communication adapted to the audience is a must.
  • The ability to be onsite, in the office, as this is an essential function of the position (required)
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future (required)

  • Base Salary Range: $147,100 - $213,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
