Linux System Administrator/Automation Engineer, Colorado Springs
Make the world's most advanced missile defense system even smarter

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a System Administrator and Automation Engineer, you will be part of a team providing system administration support services in various lab computing environments. This position will challenge your current system administration skills along with bringing lab automation forward enhancing future system deliveries. You will use your knowledge and experience in virtualized environments to solve critical integration challenges with new deliveries in a CI/CD pipeline using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:

  • Linux System Administration skills in Security-Enhanced Linux and Red Hat repository administration
  • Experience with Linux scripting and automation tools to include development and management of Ansible playbooks in classified development environments
  • Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides and other security lockdown processes and protocols
  • Understanding of Platform as a Service (PaaS), Security as a Service (SaaS), Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Use of JIRA and Confluence in an Agile development enviroment

What sets you apart:

  • Working in classified lab environments to manage lab resources, build Linux VMs, debug automation scripts and security vulnerabilities
  • Working with multiple functional teams to include software development, cybersecurity, and platform teams
  • Knowledge or Experience working with Multi-Factor Authentication, OpenShift, OpenStack, ESXi, QAS/VAS, Active Directory, Containers, Container Orchestration
  • Any experience in software development using Java, C#, or C++
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues as they arise
  • Possess poise and flexibility working in a highly dynamic environment

Workplace Options:

This position requires candidate to be onsite at a customer location 100% of the time.

Successful candidate will be required to obtain appropriate DoD 8140/8570 Level II Certification within 60-days of hire

Target salary range: USD $113,873.00/Yr. - USD $123,214.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
