Your Opportunity:The Occasions Group, a Taylor Company, is seeking a 2nd ShiftShipping Team Lead! In this role, you'd be responsible for managing staff and materials in order to meet department schedules, and work with the Shipping Supervisor to help improve overall department performance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and materials to meet department schedules
  • Train new and current employees on departmental procedures and equipment operation, and be a positive role model on the team
  • Work with account managers to ensure all required job information is accurate and documented
  • Coordinate job and production scheduling, provide updates, and give feedback on staffing needs
  • Complete all production and quality reports, conduct visual checks of machinery and operate machines and other production equipment as needed
  • Work with the warehouse and inventory representatives on material movement
  • Provide frequent updates toShipping Supervisor regarding issues and problems in the department as well as provide potential solutions

Your Shift:

  • 2ndShift: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

You Must have:

  • Experience operating machinery or other equipment (1+ years)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and follow written and verbal instruction
  • A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal

We Would Also Prefer:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Leadership experience
  • Ability to provide clear, simple direction to Operators and Production Assistants, as well as delegate tasks.
  • Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors
  • Ability to multitask and have a strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $16 - 21. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
