THE JOB: Join the team at Mandalay Bay and Michelob ULTRA Arena as a Lead Conversion Tech and be part of the action behind world-class events! In this hands-on role, you'll help transform the arena for concerts, sports, and special events by setting up and breaking down event layouts. From moving flooring and seating to operating heavy equipment like forklifts, you'll play a key role in making each event a success. If you're ready for a physically active, fast-paced job where no two days are the same, we want you on our team! THE STARTING RATE: $19.00 an hour THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Event Conversions: Set up and break down event layouts, including chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice-making equipment, and boxing rings. Arena Projects & Repairs: Assist with ongoing maintenance projects, including minor repairs such as fixing chairs, using basic power tools to keep the venue event ready. Equipment Management: Store event setup materials in designated areas and perform minor maintenance on staging and conversion equipment. Vehicle & Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, company vehicles, and other mobile equipment to transport and position heavy event materials. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the conversion team to ensure smooth and efficient transitions between events.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old. Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Availability Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event demands. Experience: Preferred experience in event conversions, stage production, or working in public venues with event-related operations. Equipment Skills: Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery and using basic power tools is a plus.
