Job Summary: Compass Group, the world's leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth in Mobile, AL as a Cash Application Specialist. This is a hybrid role that works in the office part of the week and at home part of the week. This position will focus on supporting the healthcare foodservice sectors (e.g. Morrison and CCL) to ensure that all services are provided in a timely and accurate manner. This includes posting payments received from customers against accounts receivable invoices within the SAP accounting system. This position may assist with other Treasury duties as time permits. Responsibilities: Post accounts receivable payments received to SAP. Daily balancing of the credit card terminal. Daily balancing of wire transfers received. Make bank deposits through BB&T remote deposit check scanner Create Journal Entries for approval by manager Prepare documents for record retention scanning Maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform job safely Other duties may be assigned. Special projects as assigned Candidate Traits/Skills: Accountability - Ability to work independently; prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment Effective and Engaging Communicator - Ability to frame out complex scenarios in an easy to understand manner Critical Thinker - Ability to challenge the norm and offer healthy skepticism, imagination, and thinking outside the box Candidate Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 1+ years banking or treasury related experience Familiarity with basic accounting procedures Familiarity with basic hardware and software in a Windows environment is required. PC experience with Excel and Word required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel and Word SAP experience, preferred Excellent customer service skills Able to effectively communicate with associates at all levels of the organization High level of attention to detail and organization with the ability to multitask Apply to Compass Group today!
