Overview

Asphalt Seal & Repair has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager role. This Team Member will be the financial leader Asphalt Seal & Repair and be part of a rapidly growing national organization.

The ideal applicant will possess strong working knowledge as an Accounting Manager with hands-on experience working with the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cost Accounting (i.e. WIP methodologies and revenue recognition standards). This role will manage support staff for the day-to-day financial operations of the organization including: Accounting, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable and job costing functions



Responsibilities

    Be responsible for all aspects of monthly financials, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statements and budget vs actual analysis.
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards.
  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Provide support, insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Analyze cash flow performance and prepare weekly cash flow forecast. Lead effective cash collection efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines. Create a positive culture of accountability and acceptance.
  • Help achieve our budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, while recommending corrective actions to senior leadership. Prepare and own annual budgeting process, forecast and other financial projections.
  • Become in-house expert with all aspects of ERP (NetSuite) and other financial software while developing enhanced financial reporting both locally and nationally to drive data-lead business decisions.
  • Supervise support staff by coaching, mentoring, and creating a positive culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited institution. MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
- Experience in NetSuite Financial Management (GL system) a plus.
- 5+ years' experience of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience a plus
- Possess detailed financial analysis that can extract business insights to support decision making.
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced excel skills. Strong written and verbal communication.
