As a summer associate, you will leverage data to solve strategic, tactical, structured, and unstructured business problems. You have a passion for learning and innovating new technologies at the intersection of applied mathematics / probability / statistics / AI / computer science.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Build the capability to study and analyze structured and unstructured data, data from multiple internal and external sources to enable pattern seeking and analysis. Optimize and design territories to maximize sales with limited resources. Analyze advisor, investor and economic trends that impact sales/marketing/business performance and recommend ways to improve outcomes. Craft a pattern recognition process by identifying and integrating internal and external sources of information, analytical tools, and data management and manipulation tools. Perform complex data manipulation and analytics, while working with business functions to identify and to respond to complex technical and business problems. Interpret and communicate analytic results to analytical and non-analytical business partners and senior managers.

You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Computer Science, Econometrics or related discipline, with an anticipated graduation of Spring 2026. Master's degree highly preferred. Knowledge of one of the statistical analysis tool such as R, SAS, or SQL. Knowledge of predictive analytics/statistical modeling/data mining algorithms. You will have knowledge/experience in some/all of the following: Multivariate Regression, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Bagging, Boosting, Decision Trees, Lifetime analysis, common clustering algorithms, Optimization, Stochastic Processes. Knowledge of common data structures and ability to write efficient code in at least one language (preferably Java, C++, Python, or Perl).
Hourly Rate: $40/hour Graduate level; $30.50 Undergraduate level #LI-DNI In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
