Summary

Responsible for providing analytical and administrative support to the Human Resources Compensation Division by researching, collecting, and analyzing salary data and performing related transactions. Additionally, serve as the primary partner for internal and external pay and position inquiries.

Pay Range: $51,563.20 - 65,665.60 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct compensation studies, including salary benchmarking and job evaluations.

  • Research and assist with the preparation of pay and incentive reporting and analytics

  • Maintain citywide job description library, pay schedules and pay-related communications.

  • Process pay and position transactions in Workday.

  • Provide timely response to compensation inquiries and public information requests.

  • Assist with special projects across the HR Team as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree

  • Up to 1 year of related experience

  • Intermediate or above proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area of study

  • 1-3 years' experience in Human Resource operations and functions, including HRIS or similar databases

  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of compensation principles and pay structures.

  • Understanding of relevant federal, state, and local labor laws.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Workday compensation functions is highly preferred.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze HR and compensation data.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license
