College Intern - Human Resources

RK&K is hiring a Human Resources Intern to support our HR Team in Baltimore, MD. This position will run from May through August in a full-time capacity and is open to candidates who are also available for earlier part-time spring employment.

As an Intern in our HR department, you will receive on-the-job training, work alongside, and collaborate closely with the Human Resources team. In this role, you will gain insight into various aspects of the onboarding and training processes. You will be exposed to various challenges, projects and technologies related to life cycle of an employee.

This role is in the office 5 days per week.

Basic Functions:

• Support HR Specialist with onboarding and offboarding employees; including but not limited to creating new hire folders, setting up conference rooms for orientation, creating HR folders in the HR directory, creating orientation PowerPoint presentations.
• Supporting our Sr. Training Specialist by performing audits on our training software of who has completed required assignments.
• Working with the Events & Culture team on PPE inventory, setting up and breaking down events such as anniversary events, training meetings, and any other company events.
• Assisting the Benefits team with stuffing mailers for RK&K communications.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
