Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, provide high-level account management and pre- and post-award administration for the California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC). Assist in preparation of proposals and reports.-Provide policy interpretation of financial regulations and university policies and procedures to principle investigators. Coordinate personnel actions including staff and students.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- No Minimum Education required.
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning to analyze and compile financial data and reports.
- Experience using automated financial and payroll/personnel systems, multi-user computer network systems and applicable financial management software.
- Experience with budget preparation based on narrative methodological research plans and designs, analysis, and forecasting to control complex budgets.
- Knowledge of federal and private grant budgeting, financial reporting and policies regarding use of funds.
- Skills to recognize problems with cost recovery, invoices, accounts and payroll and initiate timely and appropriate action to resolve them.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and related accounting policies and procedures to manage and monitor multiple accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Outlook to utilize various programs and software for word processing, spreadsheets and website applications.

- Experience using the campus on-line financial information system.
- Skills to identify problems, to gather related information from diverse sources, to analyze the quantitative aspects of fiscal and budgetary issues, and to develop meaningful solutions to specific problems.
- Knowledge to coordinate documents and projects with Business Contracts and Legal Affairs and to interpret regulations or guidelines and to recommend fiscally responsible and sound management practices.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact in a helpful, effective, and informative manner in person and on the telephone with a wide variety of people, and to work with faculty, staff, and students.
- Time management and organizational skills to plan, prioritize, organize, coordinate and direct numerous and varied projects and activities simultaneously and efficiently, and to meet set deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant campus policies, practices, and procedures to administer budget; salary and cost sharing; and payroll administration.
- Skill to file using alphabetical and chronological systems.
- Knowledge of State and Federal policies and procedures as it pertains to Purchasing, Business Contracts, and Grants.
- Knowledge to interpret and apply federal, state, and University policies.

Department Overview
The Arts Administrative Group supports the Departments of Art & Art History, Cinema & Digital Media, Design, Music and Theatre & Dance. It also provides support to the California Lighting Technology Center and the Performance Studies Graduate Group. All are teaching and research units within the College of Letters & Science. The CLTC is a research center conducting research in the area of energy efficiency, lighting and daylighting. Annually, there are $2.7M in expenditures and currently 15 contract and career staff are housed in the program.

Work Environment
