Systems Engineer

Ingram Content Group(ICG) is currently seeking a Systems Engineer (with a focus on development)tojoin our team inLaVergne, TN(Greater Nashville area). This person will be responsible for the support and maintenance of existing in-house developed software as well as building, modifying, and maintaining new applications and interfaces. In addition to daily software development and application support, this person may occasionally be required to assist in troubleshooting and support of various other IT related systems (Windows, Linux, MySQL, etc).This position will be required to work in the office headquarters 3 days a week.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

• Associate's degree in computer science or related field or directly related year for year work experience.
• 1 + years as a System Engineer or equivalent role

We have a preference for:

• Experience deploying and supporting Linux & Windows based server operating systems
• 1+ years with web application development (ie, PHP, Ruby, .NET)
• Experience with Git or other source control system (Subversion, Mercurial, Bazaar)
• Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies and hypervisors such as VMware, Xen, KVM, and Citrix, VirtualBox
• Demonstrated experience utilizing scripting languages such as Powershell (Windows) or Bash (Linux)
• Working knowledge of application containerization platforms such as Docker, or Container and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience working with CICD pipelines
• Daily support of production servers to include responding to alerts, interacting with internal customers, etc.

The System Engineer's key responsibilities are:

• Be familiar withall software projects owned by the team
• Performing routine updates to software stacks and libraries deployed by the team, to address technical debt and ensure compliance with security requirements
• Developing and updating tooling, web interfaces, and APIs to expand and enhance departmental capabilities
• Documentation of new and existing tools and applications developed by and for the team
• Interacting regularly with senior engineers to identify, build, and implement automation to drive greater efficiencies and standards
• Working with other engineers and developers to enhance and drive adoption of the shared logging platform by creating templates for log ingestion
• Organizing priorities, escalating problems as needed, and communicating effectively with manager, co-workers and internal clients
• Routine participation in the shared on-call rotation

Hiring Salary Range:$83,230k-$105,532k.This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
